Everyone has been given a gift in life. Some people have a gift for science and some have a flair for art. Warriors have been given the gift of aggression. They would no more misuse this gift than a doctor would misuse his healing arts, but they yearn for the opportunity to use their gift to help others. These people, the ones who have been blessed with the gift of aggression and a love for others, are our sheepdogs. These are our warriors.

And so the warrior must strive to confront denial in all aspects of his life, and prepare himself for the day when evil comes.

                   - Lt. Col David Grossman - Sheepdog

LAPD Women's Running Team Scores 5th Consecutive Win at B2V!

John Galletta

Brothers And Arms™ was proud to sponsor the elite LAPD womens running team (#WomenRunLA) as they set out to capture their 5th consecutive Baker to Vegas challenge Cup Relay victory. From the minute they donned their B&A warm up jackets at the Los Angeles press conference and posed for pictures with LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, it was apparent that these ladies were serious and focused.

Kristina Tudor Running Barefoot!

Kristina Tudor Running Barefoot!

The race, a grueling 120 miles (majority at some sort of incline/decline) was still not tough enough to defeat these women. Just one of the noteworthy stories of resilience during these 120 miles was officer Kristina Tudor. Tudor who was fresh off running The Los Angeles Marathon in full LAPD "Sharp A" uniform ( long sleeve, Tie, hat, full gun belt, boots) one week prior, didn't have much time to fully recover before Baker to Vegas. During the race Tudor's toe nails begin to bleed, this would be enough to stop ANYBODY dead in their tracks, but The LAPD Women's Running team are not just anybody! They are tough as nails (excuse the pun). Tudor simply removed her shoes and completed her leg barefooted... AMAZING!! The entire team braved 130 degree heat on the pavement. When all was said and done, these elite lady athletes boasted a time of 15 hours 49 minutes.... more than enough to earn them their 5th consecutive Baker to Vegas Challenge Cup Relay championship!!

On behalf of the entire Brothers and Arms™ family, we extend a huge CONGRATULATIONS to these ladies. They exemplified a lot of what Brothers and Arms™ is about; dedication, teamwork, Class and sisterhood/brotherhood. We also send out congratulations to all of our brothers and sisters in the law enforcement community that competed in B2V 2015! We are honored to have participated and we look forward to furthering our endeavors with this team, the LAPD, and entire law enforcement community!
