We were elated to have John "Tig" Tiegen and Johnny Walker with us at the Shot Show this year. Both are proven war fighters that have amassed quite a following.
"Tig" was one of 6 brave men that engaged in a 13 hour firefight (movie by the same name 13 Hours) to protect the residents of the US Embassy in Benghazi. Unfortunately, some didn't survive. Four Americans died in the 2012 Benghazi attack: Ambassador Chris Stevens, Information Officer Sean Smith, and two CIA operatives, Glen Doherty and Tyrone Woods, both former Navy SEALs. Stevens is the first U.S. ambassador killed in an attack since Adolph Dubs was killed in 1979. Tig was on hand to sign autographs and party hardy with us at our Keep Calm And Reload Party held at Las Vegas Gunfights.
The Iraqi Interpreter that was given the code name Johnny Walker to protect his identity also shared the limelight with Tig. Johnny was embedded with the Navy SEALs, specifically with Chris Kyle of American Sniper fame. Johnny participated in what would equate to 18 tours of duty and in 2009, was able to immigrate to this country with his wife and children. Johnny is credited with saving more American lives that all the SEALs combined (according to Chris Kyle). Pick up his book entitled, "Code Name: Johnny Walker" for his in depth story.
You'll be seeing more from Brothers & Arms and these two heroes in the coming months.
