Syed Farook, one of the shooters that killed 14 and wounded dozens December 2nd at the Inland Regional Center in San Bernardino visited the range where I'm an instructor just 2 days prior to his deadly attack. Although we didn't realize he was even there, the FBI confirmed that he visited the Riverside Magnum Range here in our hometown of Riverside, California. Farook came to the range. How could we know? He didn't stand out to our staff as anyone that would have done something so heinous. When he visited the range, he appeared to be just a normal guy. He came in and shot the AR15 he brought in and left a short time later. There was no way for us to determine if THAT was one of the guns he used in his attack or not. Like I said. People with free access to our country can also cause it harm. This is the very terror I took an oath to defend against. It was a complex combination of foreign and domestic terror. These people are hell-bent on bringing this country to it's knees and unless we look carefully at everyone in our midst to identify potentially harmful behavior, it will most certainly happen again. The Department of Homeland Security was established after 9/11 to ensure attacks like this never happen again on US Soil. How could this have happened then? Chime in and let us know. Brothers & Arms USA would like to extend our deepest condolences to the victims and families affected in this terrible event. We would also like to extend a hearty "thank you" for a job well-done to all the men and women in the numerous law enforcement agencies that responded to this incident.
